Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe has been voted the Player of the Month for October in the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season by the French Professional Footballers’ Union (UNFP). This marks the seventh time for PSG to receive this award – an absolute record.

Another accolade for Mbappe. The French superstar surpassed his PSG teammate Warren Zaire-Emery and Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin to be named the Best Player of October in the 2023/24 French National Championship. This award further solidifies Mbappe’s place in Ligue 1 history as the player with the most “Player of the Month” titles.

Mbappe had a forgettable start to October with a 1-4 defeat to Newcastle in the Champions League group stage and made little impact in the victory against Rennes in Ligue 1. However, he consistently shone with three goals and one assist, helping PSG win 3-0 against Strasbourg and defeating “phenomenon” Brest 3-2.

For the 10th time in his career, Mbappe received the Player of the Month award, an absolute record in Ligue 1.

Furthermore, Mbappe also scored a goal, contributing to PSG’s 3-0 victory over Milan at Parc des Princes in the Champions League. With three goals and one assist in three Ligue 1 matches, Mbappe succeeded goalkeeper Marcin Bulka as the Outstanding Player of the Month, who received the award in September.

After a hat-trick against Reims last weekend, Mbappe has a significant advantage in the race for the Best Player of November. In total, in the current Ligue 1 season, Mbappe has scored 13 goals in 11 matches.

“With him, like the dried leaves of a departed poet, records, and achievements are always gathered with a shovel. And a bountiful harvest season has only just begun for the captain of the French national team.

He is Kylian Mbappe, who has been honored by UNFP for the 10th time as the Outstanding Player of the Month in Ligue 1 after scoring three goals and providing one assist in three matches. This absolute record is challenging for any player to catch up with. Congratulations Kylian!” UNFP wrote on their official website.
